Tip of the Month: The Fuss About Flaxseeds

Sold as seeds, an oil, or a ground meal,
flax contains high amounts of alpha-linolenic
acid, a type of fat that can boost immunity,
blood flow and possibly endurance. Flax
also keeps your platelets from clumping
together and forming dangerous clots.
Some easy ways to incorporate them into
your diet are to use ground flaxseed when
baking muffins, buy breakfast cereals that
contain flax or simply add some flaxseed
oil to your salad dressings.
